Millennial Amphitheater

Located at the end of Soldiers Walk, the Millennial Amphitheater serves as a place for both celebration and remembrance. The amphitheater hosts various community gatherings throughout the spring, summer, and fall, from afternoon programs to evening performances.

At the top of the amphitheater sits General’s Overlook, a memorial honoring America’s military leaders. This feature provides visitors with a view of the grounds while preserving an important piece of military history.

Fun Facts:

  • Inspired by Arlington National Cemetery
  • The backdrop features 2,000 commemorative bricks, representing the start of the new millennium in the year 2000
  • Seats 2,000 guests, with a combined capacity of 4,500 with the surrounding hillside
  • To the right of the amphitheater stands the first decommissioned F-16 fighter jet released from the Air Force Thunderbirds.
  • The jet, along with the two howitzers at General’s Overlook and the M48 Patton tank at the park entrance, was made possible through the efforts of local resident and retired Colonel Ralph Haines of Arcadia.
